Basalt & Dune is a wonderful new store in the middle of St Davids, Pembrokeshire…. very close to our self-catering holiday cottages. The store was started by a mother with her daughter…. Nicola, an artist and Gabrielle, who is mainly involved in print and graphic design.  They have brought together a unique collection of gifts, lifestyle accessories and homewares, which meet the needs of coastal, country and city lifestyles alike.  They have sought to establish an environment where people feel calm and relaxed… and able to shop at peace and at leisure. The beautiful shop makes you slow down and really appreciate what they have created.

There seems to be a very close match between the shop and the local area… you feel as though it’s been designed by people who are in love with Pembrokeshire! It’s a total joy! All the products have been carefully chosen to capture and compliment the local environment

There is a very strong focus on recycling and re-use, avoiding plastics and always using biodegradable materials, wherever possible.

Every part of the business seems to be in harmony with the next and they are great asset to St Davids.
