The last few weeks have been amazing weather in St Davids and yesterday we went across to Ramsey Island and had this lovely view of Carn Llidi and the old and new lifeboat stations... looking across from the Bitches.
Yesterday we went to the west side of Ramsey Island and took this photo of South Bishop Lighthouse, which was built in 1839 by James Walker. It has been unmanned since 1983 and is monitored and controlled by Trinity House.
We had some great feedback from one of our regular customers, who said that "we just loved the kingsize bed in Bwthyn Gwe...the most comfortable in any hotel or cottage that they've ever stayed in!" Kathryn Francis, Gloucestershire
David and Tina Williams stayed in Bwthyn Gwe recently and said: 'we've had a brilliant week and the cottage is one of the best we have every stayed in during 41 years of holidays'. September 2016
We love oysters catchers and you will often see a pair just outside Porth Clais harbour, on the left... or a whole flock nearer to the entrance to Ramsey Sound.
St Davids has a spectacular golf course, with wonderful views over Carn Llidi and across Whitesand Bay towards Ramsey Island and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. This is a must, especially the fourth!
Every morning Malcolm Gray, MBE, former lifeboat coxswain, reads the barometer, just at the top of Goat Street... a minute from our cottages. This mercury barometer is inscribed with 'RNLB No 104 Institution. James Glaisger FRS.'
We took our fishing boat on the west side of Ramsey Island recently and saw so many seals. They are so inquisitive, so do take a boat trip. It's really worthwhile!
The wild flowers in Pembrokeshire are spectacular and you can experience this on walks across the costal path or the roadside and even on the golf course!
Our cottages were fully booked over Easter and one of our customers said....'we've just returned from a wonderful week in Bwthyn Lil... the house is gorgeous and the beds are so comfortable.... a real bit of paradise in West Wales.... we want to visit again'. Jan and Paul Tomlinson
